Bolands Quay Demolition Time-lapse

August, 2016

The demolition works at Boland’s Quay, (formerly Boland’s Mill) is now complete. It took Hegarty, the contractors, 242 days / 8 months to demolish the large concrete silos, which were built in the 1950s.  The old stone mill buildings were retained and will be converted for commercial and residential use which will be managed by a specialist conservation contractor who has just been appointed.    Two magnificent office towers of over 12 and 13 storeys high with 220,000 sq ft will be constructed in this city campus, beside these old buildings of character, and will have incredible views overlooking the Grand Canal Dock and the entire city and bay area.
